The Gift of Music

The "Endowment for Chapel Music" was established in 1994 with the installation of the new Dobson Pipe Organ in Elliott Chapel.  The artistic integrity of this tracker action instrument enriches the worship experience for residents, and with the establishment of a concert series, enhances the musical life of this community and of metropolitan Chicago.

The Gift of Music recital series is made possible by a generous gift from the Woman's Board of Presbyterian Homes.  Since the inaugural recital in November of 1994, over 150 organ recitals have taken place with both national and international artists.

Dedicated to the greater glory of God, the organ in Elliott Chapel enables us to sing our praises as we worship together, and to experience a deeper spirituality through the dimension of sight and sound. Please click here for specifications of the Dobson Organ.
